Every once in a while,I see an image that makes an impression on me. Sometimes I don’t quite know why but I know I like it. The field of sunflowers that usually adorns the top of this web site was like that. Likewise,I found this holiday image while looking for something for another project and I found myself continually going back to look at it. I wouldn’t ordinarily do a redesign for a particular season (and I didn’t really spend a lot of time on this one either) but I figured what the heck. Enjoy. Happy Holidays!

Random Thoughts

I’ve found some very interesting, thought provoking articles over the last few days and for one reason or another, here are two random quotes that have stuck with me (along with links to the entire posts).

  • “Training yourself to think unthinkable thoughts has advantages beyond the thoughts themselves. It’s like stretching. When you stretch before running, you put your body into positions much more extreme than any it will assume during the run. If you can think things so outside the box that they’d make people’s hair stand on end, you’ll have no trouble with the small trips outside the box that people call innovative.” – Paul Graham’s What You Can’t Say
  • “Managers can lose it. I mean it. There are managers out there who are absolutely punch drunk with power and if you’re working for one of these folks,I’m really sorry. You’re a resident of Crazy Town and that means you never know what random crap is going to happen next and that sucks.” – Saying No at Rands In Repose
